Time goes fast. I’ve barely gotten used to jotting down 2017 instead of 2016 and now I have to adjust to 2018?! You’re killing me here!
It is almost time to say goodbye to 2017 and embrace 2018. Or fall face first into it after a little too much champagne! Whichever way you celebrate the end of the year, there’s something oddly liberating about letting go of the past, and looking towards the future.
A lot has happened this past year. From personal developments, to deadlines met. From lazy movie nights, to buckling down to get the last of our characters sorted out. Only to find out that we need more of them, so we cry, sit in a corner, and use the Minions for therapy. Today is going to be a short blog. Not because I don’t have anything to say but… The countdown has begun, and whatever new and exciting adventures we go through, you will find out each week!
As always, working with Clara is a very healthy mixture of joy, happiness, the odd tear whenever a character gets upset. It consists of writing, plotting, planning and the occasional film. Although most of the time it’s just a circulation of Minions, Frozen and Moana. It’s been about reading books, exploring different words, and learning how to find our feet in ours. We’ve learned how to not be afraid of our own creativity and passion, and that a fantasy novel really needs some fantasy. You’d think some of these lessons should have occurred to us sooner, they did, they were just scary..
Either way, I love it, and I’m looking forward to see what 2018 will bring us.
Happy New Year!
