Bit by bit we are getting more organised. We seem to have unlocked the secrets of stress free writing, and we’re back to enjoying it and taking our time. We both work full time jobs, and neither of us can afford to get stressed out over mountains of work. It’s been working out really well for us and in a lot of ways.. We’re getting more done. Don’t ask me how this logic works, I’m sure there’s some scientific explanation of why we do more with less time. Have we finally managed to unlock the mythological time management secrets?!
This weekend alone we’ve got things done that normally would’ve taken us a lot longer. Despite the heat that is creeping into the summer months and overheating everything – brains included!
I don’t have a lot to report this week. It’s just been more of the same. More sorting, more writing, more shifting people we thought we had in the right place, only to find that we didn’t. Slotting those people into different places and watching them change instantly. Of course it would’ve been a lot easier to know this beforehand, but when do we ever?
Coming to these little revelations is honestly half the fun for us. Yes it often requires some moving things around, and it could affect a variety of people but most of the time it ends up being a change for the best.. Which does make it worth it, even if it’s a bit of a headache from time to time.
Things change, they always do over periods of time. Fictional characters are not immune to this rule of life. Things might have been one way before and it worked, but in time things have changed, and they no longer work as well. It’s not always easy to put a cross down next to a character that you had high hopes for, but it is sometimes a necessary evil.
